Imagine being able to get twice as much work done, all while lying in bed. It may sound too good to be true, but it’s not! I am a lazy freelancer who learned the secret to getting more work done without ever having to leave my bed. All you need is a laptop and an internet connection. In this blog post, I will share with you my tips and tricks for how to get more work done, even when you don’t feel like working!
The first tip is to create a work schedule for yourself and stick to it. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s important to have set times when you are going to work, and then take breaks when you need them. I find that setting aside two hours in the morning and two hours at night to work on client projects works well for me. This way, I can take care of my personal life during the day and still get a full eight hours of work done each day.
Another great tip is to make use of technology. There are so many great tools out there that can help you be more productive, even when you’re lazy! For instance, there are plenty of task management apps that can help you track your tasks as you complete them. Often times we all can get distracted by the environment around us, some tv show comes on we really like, or we hear a song that we love, all these things can make getting our projects out the way more difficult. This is where these task management apps come in really handy, because not only can you track your tasks, but you can also set reminders for yourself so that you don’t forget what you need to do.
Last but not least, one of the best ways to be more productive when you’re lazy is to outsource some of your work. This may seem counterintuitive, but hear me out! If there are certain tasks that you know are going to take a lot of time and energy to complete, why not hire someone else to do them for you? There are plenty of great freelancers out there who would love to help you with your workload. And the best part is, by outsourcing some of your work, you free up more time.
Outsourcing is the one habit that can help you 2x your productivity the fastest. And I know I know, you believe that no one can do the work and pay attention to detail as well as you can. But 80% of is more than 100% when you have 2-3 people contributing their 80% to your sole 100%. Three is always better than one. Use whatever old cliché that helps you understand that you need to start outsourcing to become more productive.
